Review : The Stilts – Douchebag

The debut single from the Brisbane based band “The Stilts” is now available and as far as I’m concerned its a rippa of a track. Every time I listen to it I can’t help but feel happy,it just gives off this positive vibe right from the get go. It might just be me but I can definitely relate to the message in this song, one might say I have been a bit of a douchebag myself at times,I wouldn’t though.

With Eddy Russell on drums and vocals,
Michael Palella on guitar and vocals,
Brodie Stephenson on bass and Rob Szakaly on the guitar, you can’t help but feel that these guys really gel quite well together. The recording itself sounds very professional. The guys actually recorded the guitar parts themselves and then went into JMC academy to lay down the drums, bass and vocal tracks.
Whilst the band did all the mixing, mastering and recording themselves, they have asked to give a big shout out to Ethyne Wesley for helping them out.

All in all I think “Douchebag” is a great catchy little track, and with their debut EP in the works as we speak, I for one can’t wait to hear it. For the time being though,be sure to check out what I’m talking about.
